Terms of service.
The agreement between you, Qfix and the tailor who repairs your garment. Plain language, and the same rules we hold ourselves to.
Last updated 19 September 2026.
1. Who you are dealing with
Qfix operates the platform at qfix.se. We connect you with independent tailors and repair shops, handle the booking, and pass your order to the shop you choose.
The repair itself is carried out by that shop, not by Qfix. They are independent businesses, responsible for the craft, the timing and the condition in which your garment comes back. Qfix is responsible for the platform, the booking, and for standing behind the guarantee described in section 7.
2. Booking a repair
When you book, you describe the garment and what needs doing — usually by photographing it — and we show you an estimated price based on the shop's published pricelist.
That estimate is not the final price. Until the tailor has the garment in their hands, nobody knows for certain what the work involves. The shop reviews your photos, confirms or adjusts the price, and if it changes you approve the new price before any work starts. You are never charged for work you did not approve.
A booking is a request until the shop confirms it. If no shop can take the job we tell you and nothing is charged.
3. Prices, fees and payment
Prices are shown in Swedish kronor and include VAT. Alongside the repair itself you may see:
- a service fee, which covers running the platform and is shown before you book;
- a collection fee, if you choose to have the garment collected rather than dropping it off.
Payment is taken when the repair is finished, not when you book — unless you chose to pay at the counter, in which case you pay the shop directly on collection. If the approved price changes during the work, you approve the change first and the new total is what is charged.
4. Getting the garment there and back
You can hand the garment in at the shop during its opening hours, or book a collection where that is offered. Whichever you choose, the order number is how the shop identifies your garment — bring it or attach it.
We will tell you when the repair is ready. Please collect it within 30 days. After three months of unclaimed storage a shop may, after contacting you at the details on the order, dispose of or donate the garment — this follows the Swedish rules on unclaimed goods (lagen om näringsidkares rätt att sälja saker som inte har hämtats).
5. Your garment and its condition
Repair work has an element of risk that new manufacture does not: fabric that has already worn thin can tear further, old dye can lift, and a seam that has been re-sewn before may not take a third pass.
Tell us what you know. If a garment has a weakness, a previous repair, a delicate trim or sentimental value out of proportion to its price, say so in the notes when you book. A tailor who knows will work differently — or tell you honestly that the repair is not worth attempting.
Please empty the pockets. We cannot take responsibility for anything left in a garment.
6. Photographs you upload
The photographs you upload stay yours. By uploading them you give Qfix and the shop you choose permission to use them for the purpose of arranging and carrying out your repair — reading what the garment is, quoting it, and working from it at the bench.
Your photographs are also read automatically to suggest what the garment is and what it needs. That is a suggestion, not a decision. Nothing is booked from it: you see what was detected, you correct it, and you confirm it. How that automated reading works, and where the images go, is set out in the privacy notice.
We do not use your photographs in marketing without asking you first, separately and specifically.
7. If something goes wrong
If a repair is not right, tell us within 30 days of collecting the garment and the shop will put it right at no further cost. If it cannot be put right, we refund what you paid for that repair.
If a garment is damaged or lost while it is in the shop's care, contact us. We will work with the shop on a fair resolution, which will normally reflect the garment's value at the time it was handed in rather than what it cost when new.
None of this limits the rights you have as a consumer under Swedish law, including under the Consumer Services Act (konsumenttjänstlagen). Where these terms and the law disagree, the law wins.
8. Changing your mind
As a consumer buying at a distance you have 14 days to withdraw from the agreement, under the Distance Contracts Act (distansavtalslagen).
If you ask us to start the service inside those 14 days — which is what handing the garment over means — you may still withdraw, but you pay for the work already done in proportion to what was completed. Once the repair is finished with your express consent, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to it.
Before the shop has started work you can cancel free of charge. The fastest way is the Need help with this order? form in your account.
9. Your account
There is no password. You sign in with a link we email to the address your order is filed under — so whoever can open that inbox can see your repairs. Keep it secure, and tell us if you think somebody else has access to it.
Sign-in links expire shortly after they are sent and work once. You can book a repair without an account at all; the account simply keeps your orders and saves you retyping your details.
10. Using the platform fairly
Do not upload anything you have no right to upload, anything unlawful, or images of people who have not agreed to be photographed. Do not use the platform to harass a shop or to place orders you do not intend to honour.
We may suspend an account that does these things, and we will say why.
11. Changes to these terms
We update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top says when. If a change materially affects an order you have already placed, that order is governed by the terms in force when you placed it.
12. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies. If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you can take it to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, ARN (arn.se), or to the EU's online dispute resolution platform. We follow ARN's recommendations.
Write to hello@qfix.se and a person will answer. If your question is about a specific repair, include the order number — it is the fastest way to a real answer.
